Out of the mall

We have no love for corporations that turn every gesture into a conversion funnel. Payment conglomerates, ad platforms, app-store toll booths, “creator economy” landlords — the same machines that sand culture until it looks like a spreadsheet. We will not kneel at their checkout as a lifestyle brand.

When money moves, we prefer rails that stay small, local, and hard to own: cash in a hand, post that is not a product, cash systems that do not report your life to a dashboard. We will not pretend Stripe is neutral infrastructure. It is a mall with better fonts.

One pool

Every donate link on every f00 site points here. There is no tip jar for a single logo and no per-project jar that turns stewards into rival shops. If something arrives, it is shared evenly across the collective — like bread, not like equity.

The default is zero. You can use every project forever and never send a coin. That is not freeloading. That is the point. Giving is a choice someone makes after the work already exists.

Every movement of value is public: open ledger · ledger.json. No private books. No payroll. If it is not on the ledger, it did not happen.

How (local / diy)

We do not publish a permanent public wallet for every screenshot to archive. Write first. We answer with the current way.

What the pool can carry

Gifts are for real media and real machines — not salaries cosplay. The pool exists to release more work into the world:

• music albums · masters · press · distribution of free digi
• art books · magazines · print runs
• zines · ink · paper · postage
• servers · bandwidth · domains for open tech
• artist supplies when they become the next project

Digital drops stay free — open, MIT where code, free where art files can be. Physical objects (vinyl, books, zines, prints) may be sold only to cover cost and feed the same pool: more presses, more servers, more projects. No one takes a profit cut. No equity. Stewards do not get rich; the table gets larger.

Not a registered charity — yet

We are not a 501(c)(3) or other registered non-profit today. Do not treat gifts as tax-deductible charity contributions. We are a collective trying to become a formal public-benefit shell so we can receive and pass support for open projects (tools, albums, books, zines, film, sound, machines) without turning into a shop. Until that status is real and published here, assume: love first, diy rails, open ledger, program costs from the pool — not a tax receipt.

If we ever obtain that status, we will say so clearly on this page. Until then, any structure we aim for still obeys the same law: MIT and open to the world, free digital, physical only to recycle cost into more work, no paywalls, no owners, stewards only, one pool, no gods.

What this is not

Not a subscription. Not a crowdfunding campaign. Not patronage cosplay. Not a tax on using the work. Not a corporate matching portal. Not a way to buy influence over what lands on the hub — that still goes to a vote of stewards, one person one vote.
